Too numerous girls are hitched ahead of the age of 18. All of the right time, they've been forced into an alliance they've perhaps perhaps not selected. Dropping out of college or violence at home are for the challenges and consequences that are negative face. Terre des hommes works in Jordan and Lebanon to protect young refugee girls from very very early wedding and already support those hitched.
To better tackle the matter of very early marriage among refugee girls, we've partnered with Dr Aisha Hutchinson, a social worker through the University of Bedfordshire within the United-Kingdom, to conduct a three-year research emphasizing girls that are hitched before 18. The investigation seeks to better understand the experience and process these girls proceed through while located in refugee communities.
